Itinerary

STRASBOURG – MANNHEIM – KOBLENZ – RÜDESHEIM – STRASBOURG

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Our ship will sail through the night.

Morning: Optional excursion: Heidelberg. Departure by coach towards Heidelberg, the city symbol of German Romanticism. Meet the guides at Heidelberg Castle and explore the exterior of this magnificent partially ruined pink sandstone castle with their company. Since the late 18th century, the castle ruins have inspired painters and poets who saw in them a symbol of the grandeur and decay of human works. Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland, and Eichendorff celebrated the castle’s landscape, while many painters chose it as a motif. You will also discover the geometric terraces of the Palatinate Garden, the “Hortus Palatinus,” once considered the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Continue with your guides through the old town, admiring the Church of the Holy Spirit (exterior), built between 1398 and 1441 and the burial place of the prince-electors.

Afternoon: Free time.

Departure for an exceptional evening to attend a concert by André Rieu. Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, André Rieu creates a warm and joyful atmosphere, where Viennese waltzes, classical pieces, and popular melodies follow one another brilliantly. The musicians, often dressed in period costumes, and the magnificent stage settings transport the audience to another era. You will be invited to sing and dance in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

Return on board and overnight navigation towards Koblenz.

Morning: Explore the old town of Koblenz with our activity team. Koblenz is a city located in the "corner of Germany," at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers. You will see the historic city center as well as the "Deutsche Eck" statue of Emperor Wilhelm I, situated at the confluence of the two rivers.

Afternoon: Navigation towards Rüdesheim through the beautiful Romantic Rhine Valley. With its castles, historic towns, vineyards, and the famous Lorelei rock, the stunning landscape—deeply intertwined with history and legend—has inspired many writers, painters, and composers. Arrival in Rüdesheim in the early evening.

Evening: The famous Drosselgasse awaits you, with its many taverns and live orchestras.

Morning: Optional excursion: Small train, wine tasting, and Mechanical Music Museum in Rüdesheim. Departure by tourist train for a guided tour through the Rüdesheim vineyards. Wine tasting in the historic cellars of the Bassenheimer Hof, a 16th-century manor house. Then, visit the Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum, located in a historic 15th-century building. It houses an impressive collection of mechanical musical instruments and is one of the largest and most beautiful collections from the 18th to the 20th centuries.

Afternoon: Navigation towards Strasbourg.

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.
